A West Michigan native Nick earned his degree in Television and Cinema Production at Michigan State University. He then relocated to Los Angeles, CA and founded Third Reef Productions.

Since moving to Los Angeles Nick has primarily worked within the camera department on several prolific feature films. Recent projects include, "Now You See Me," "The Hangover," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," "Exodus: Gods and Kings," "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction," and "The Internship." When he isn't working on a movie set he is busy working in live television broadcast with recent credits including "The 2014 Sochi Olympic Games," "The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards," and "Red Bull Stratos: Mission to the Edge of Space," among others.
